Nepal Human Rights News is a not-for-profit news site specializing on
the issues of human rights and fundamental freedoms of people.
Originally launched on 10 December 2005, the site is now run by Nepal
Human Rights News and Research Center (NHRN-RC), a non-profit, non
governmental organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal.
NHRN-RC is an organization dedicated to dissemination and exchange of
information and news, as well as exploration of situations relating to
the issues of human rights and fundamental freedoms of people in
Nepal.
Nepal Human Rights News is one of the major components of the organization.
Operated by a team of working journalists and scholars with a keen
nose on the issues of democracy, human rights and fundamental freedoms
of people in Nepal, the website Nepal Human Rights News.Com has
emerged as Nepal's leading online portal on this particular beat and
has also been a platform for the research and studies of human rights
issues for some foreign students and scholars.
The research program offered by us, however, is part of our editorial
initiative only to the extent that the findings of the research would
be published on the website in the form of small reports or news
features.
The detailed research would be the responsibility and
property of the concerned researchers themselves.
Professionals willing to make documentaries on the themes relating to
issues such as human rights, media freedom, democracy and
good-governance, could also ask us for facilitating support for
working in Nepal.
Eligibility

with keen interest in online media writings could apply for such an
internship.
Research: Students of sociology, anthropology, psychology, political
science, or any other related subjects of humanities could apply for

to support his or her research plan.
